Frequently Asked Questions

What Ingredients Are In Your Products?

We're so glad you asked!   We pride ourselves in using the highest quality natural ingredients sourced from reputable suppliers in the USA.   Our soaps contain a proprietary blend of all plant-based oils and butters, and cruelty-free goat's milk.  Our mica and pigments we color them with are all certified safe for all skin in soap and bath bombs.  We also use 100% therapeutic grade essential oils in the bars that contain them.

What Ingredients Are NOT Your Products?

None of the bad stuff!   Your typically store-bought soaps and body wash contains the following JUNK that you should not be using on your skin on a daily basis:

  • Sodium Lauryl or Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLS)
  • Triclosan (unnecessary anti-bacterial agent)
  • Tetrasodium EDTA (chemical lather booster)
  • Phthlatates (chemical fragrances)
  • Parabens (chemical preservatives)
  • Tallowate (animal fat!)
  • Palm Oil (terrible for the environment)

None of these are necessary in soap, and does more harm than good to your skin and the environment

Where Are Your Products Made?

All of our products are hand-crafted with care in our soap shop in Mount Gilead, OH.  We are a family owned business and do not outsource any of our labor or products.

How Long Does Your Soap Last?

If cared for properly, the shelf life of our soap should be at least one year.   Even then, it will still be safe for use after that period.  It just may not smell and perform as well as when you first get it.

When in use, you should get around 20-30 showers out of one 4.8 oz bar, depending on how much you like to lather!   Again, if cared for properly.

How Do I Care For My Soap?

For long term storage, keep in a cool and dry closet or cabinet, away from direct sunlight.  This will prolong the freshness of the soap up to and beyond 1 year.

Once in use, please use a good soap dish that allows the soap to drain and dry between uses.  Like this one here!  Don't leave it in the shower where it is going to be constantly soaked with water.

Is Your Bar Soap Good for my Face, Body, Hands?

Yes, Yes, and Yes!  It is specially formulated to be ideal for all of the above.    Just don't use it on your hair!

Results may vary based on your skin type, but it is designed to gently cleanse and condition skin, without stripping you of all of your skin's natural oils.  So it should not irritate or dry your skin out.  Nor will it leave you with an oily or sticky feeling a lot of other soaps do.
